BHA was co-founded by Jennifer Croce and Amber Moody. Both parents share a desire to make homeschooling more visible and recognized in the area. BHA currently has over 100 families. The group is open to homeschooling families and those that plan to homeschool in and around the Billerica area.
Get to Know Jen and Amber
Jen Croce: I started homeschooling in September 2009. I decided to do it simply because I have the oppportunity. The approach we use is called unschooling, it is a child led approach to learning. We enjoy using day to day events to create our learning experiences.
Amber Moody: We've been homeschooling our kids since September 2009. Our decision to homeschool was based primarily on a desire to experience learning together as a family. Our approach to our homeschool is Charlotte Mason influenced but very eclectic. Our goal is to help our children discover a love of learning. During the week you'll find us at the library, exploring the great outdoors, at our church Grace Chapel, on the town soccer fields, baseball fields or basketball courts, or spending time with family and neighbors.
